Organized kitchen drawer with cooking utensils

Amazon Kitchen Gadgets I Use Literally Every Week

I am a big believer in not cluttering your kitchen with gadgets you use once and forget. My rule is that if it does not earn its counter or drawer space by getting used at least once a week, it gets donated. These made the cut. Every single one of these gets used regularly in my kitchen.

A Salad Spinner

I resisted a salad spinner for years because it seemed like a lot of storage for one job. Then I got one and now I use it multiple times a week. Dry lettuce, wash herbs, spin berries. It is one of those tools that actually makes you cook more because prep is faster. Salad spinners on Amazon.

A Garlic Press

Mincing garlic by hand is the worst. A garlic press takes five seconds and means I actually add garlic to things instead of skipping it because I do not want to deal. Get one that is dishwasher safe. Garlic presses on Amazon.

A Digital Kitchen Scale

For baking especially. Measuring by weight is so much more accurate than volume and it means fewer dishes because you can just put the bowl on the scale and add ingredients directly. I use mine several times a week. Kitchen scales on Amazon.

A Quality Cutting Board

A good thick cutting board is worth the investment. It should not slide, should not warp, and should be big enough to actually work on. I use a large end-grain wood board that I found through ShopMy and it is beautiful enough to serve on as well. Wood cutting boards on Amazon.

Silicone Spatulas in Multiple Sizes

I have four silicone spatulas and I use at least two of them every day. They work on nonstick, they scrape bowls clean, they handle hot food, and they come in fun colors. Get a set. Silicone spatula sets on Amazon.

A Fine Mesh Strainer

For draining pasta, rinsing quinoa, straining sauces, dusting powdered sugar. A fine mesh strainer earns its place many times a week. Get one medium and one small. Fine mesh strainers on Amazon.

A Microplane Grater

For zesting citrus, grating hard cheese, and grating ginger or garlic super finely. A microplane is one of those tools that sounds specialty but once you have it you use it constantly. Microplane graters on Amazon.

Every one of these is under $40 and will make your time in the kitchen more efficient and more enjoyable. Tell me in the comments which kitchen tool you could not live without. I am always looking for new favorites.
