Antipasto Skewers with Mozzarella
Can we talk about the appetizer that basically runs every single party I have ever hosted? These antipasto skewers have been on my entertaining table more times than I can count, and honestly, I think I love them even more than my guests do. They take about 15 minutes to put together, they look absolutely stunning on a board, and they are completely no-cook. A dream appetizer situation.
The secret is layering flavors and textures on every single skewer so each bite has a little bit of everything. Creamy mozzarella, savory salami, briny olives, tangy artichoke, sweet roasted pepper. It is like a full charcuterie board on a stick. I usually set these out as soon as guests arrive so everyone has something delicious to snack on while I finish putting dinner together.

Antipasto Skewers with Mozzarella
Ingredients
Method
- Drain and pat dry mozzarella balls and artichoke hearts. Cut roasted red peppers into bite-sized chunks.
- Fold salami or pepperoni slices in half or quarters so they thread easily onto skewers.
- Thread each skewer with one piece of each: mozzarella, folded salami, olive, artichoke heart, and roasted red pepper.
- Arrange on a serving platter or board.
- Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with Italian seasoning just before serving.
Notes
What to Put on Antipasto Skewers
You really cannot go wrong here, but my go-to lineup is fresh ciliegine mozzarella balls (the little cherry-sized ones), folded salami, green olives, marinated artichoke hearts, and roasted red peppers. The combination of salty, creamy, tangy, and sweet is just perfect. For a fun upgrade, try adding sun-dried tomatoes or little cubes of sharp provolone. I like to use these cute cocktail skewers that are a little longer and sturdier than regular toothpicks, they hold everything together so much better and they look really polished on the platter.

How to Serve Antipasto Skewers
I like to lay them out on a big wooden charcuterie board and tuck in some fresh basil leaves and a little bowl of extra olives around them. A drizzle of good quality olive oil and a sprinkle of Italian seasoning right before serving takes them from great to genuinely impressive. You can assemble these up to 4 hours ahead and keep them covered in the fridge, which makes party prep so much easier. Just drizzle and season at the last minute so everything looks fresh.

Make These Your Own
One of my favorite things about this recipe is how flexible it is. Going for a more Mediterranean vibe? Add kalamata olives and cucumber. Keeping it low-carb? Skip the cured meats and add more veggies. Hosting a crowd? Double or triple the batch in minutes. These skewers are genuinely one of the most useful recipes in my entertaining arsenal and I think once you make them once, they will be in yours too. Enjoy! xo, Pam
