I love a good designer bag as much as the next person, but I am also a mom who uses her bag as a catchall for approximately fifteen different things at any given moment. This summer I am reaching for bags that look great, cost less than a hundred dollars, and do not make me nervous when a child puts sticky hands on them.

The Bucket Bag That Looks More Expensive

Invest or Save?
My honest take: save on everyday bags and invest on one or two classics. You do not need to spend four hundred dollars on a bag you use for the school run. A beautiful twenty dollar straw tote and a fifty dollar crossbody cover ninety percent of my summer bag needs.
