If you have ever stood in your kitchen twenty minutes before guests arrive wondering what on earth you are going to put out, let me introduce you to your new best friend. Caprese skewers are the appetizer that makes it look like you tried really hard when you absolutely did not. I love that for us.
Between chasing my toddler and growing this baby, I have basically zero patience for fussy recipes right now. These come together with no oven, no stress, and they look so pretty on a platter that people assume I am way more put together than I actually am.

The trick to making them look fancy
It is all about that balsamic glaze. A regular splash of balsamic vinegar is fine, but the thick, syrupy glaze is what makes these look like they came from a cute little bistro. Drizzle it on at the very last minute so it stays glossy and dramatic. Presentation is half the magic.
I also like to fold the basil leaf so it tucks neatly between the tomato and the mozzarella. It holds everything together and gives you that perfect bite of fresh, creamy, and bright all at once.
Perfect for basically everything
I bring these to baby showers, summer cookouts, and those nights when friends come over and I want something light to nibble before dinner. They travel well, they hold up on a table, and they disappear fast. If you want to make them ahead, assemble the skewers and keep them chilled, then add the oil and glaze right before serving.
They are also just a happy little thing to have in the fridge. I have absolutely eaten three standing at the counter while making lunch for my kiddo. No regrets.
