Drugstore Dupes I Actually Repurchase

Okay, I have to be honest with you. I spent years convinced that drugstore makeup was just a placeholder until I could afford the “real” stuff. Then I actually started paying attention to what I was reaching for every single day, and surprise, half of it was from the drugstore aisle. Not because I was settling. Because it genuinely worked better.

Here are the drugstore dupes I keep buying on repeat, no fluff, just the ones that earn their space in my bag.

e.l.f. Power Grip Primer

If you have not tried this yet, please go get it today. It grips your makeup like nothing else, keeps everything in place for hours, and the texture is unlike any drugstore primer I have ever used. It feels similar to the Milk Makeup Hydro Grip, which costs almost four times as much. I use this every single day and I go through tubes fast because I just keep coming back. You can find it at Ulta or grab it through Amazon if you want it delivered.

Milani Conceal + Perfect Foundation

This one surprised me. I picked it up on a whim and it has replaced foundations I paid over $40 for. It gives you that medium-to-full coverage without feeling cakey, and it actually lasts. The shade range is decent too. I have friends with deeper skin tones who love it just as much. If you want a direct link, here is the Amazon search so you can see all the shades.

NYX Thick It Stick It Brow Gel

I used to spend $25 on a brow gel that I thought was doing something magical. Then I tried this NYX version, and I honestly cannot tell the difference in my finished look. It keeps my brows in place, gives them that fluffy brushed-up look, and costs under $10. That is a win every time. Grab it at Ulta, Target, or through Amazon.

L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara

This is the drugstore mascara that makeup artists have been talking about for years, and they are right. It lengthens without clumping, separates every lash, and actually stays on. I have tried switching to fancier mascaras multiple times and keep coming back to this one. It is just really, really good. You can find it everywhere, but if you want to order it fast, Amazon has it.

e.l.f. Halo Glow Liquid Filter

Okay this one blew up for a reason. It is a dupe for the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter, which costs around $46. The e.l.f. version costs about $14 and gives you that same lit-from-within glow that makes skin look incredible in photos. I mix a drop into my foundation or wear it on its own on no-makeup days. Totally worth picking up at Ulta or finding on Amazon.

Wet n Wild Photo Focus Setting Powder

Setting powder can be such a scam at high price points. This Wet n Wild one sets my makeup, reduces shine, and photographs beautifully. I take it in my travel bag and I have zero guilt about it. Sometimes the drugstore aisle has it figured out. Check Amazon for easy ordering.

A Note on Splurging

I am not anti-splurge. There are high-end products I absolutely love and will always make room for in my budget. But I also think there is something freeing about knowing the drugstore aisle has your back. You do not have to spend a lot to look really good. These are the products that proved that to me, one repurchase at a time.

So glad you are here. xo, Pam
