Garlic Butter Steak Bites with Mashed Potatoes
Okay I need to talk to you about these garlic butter steak bites because they have genuinely changed my dinner game. You get all the steak house vibes in about 35 minutes and for a fraction of the price. Seared in a screaming hot pan, tossed in garlicky herb butter, served over creamy mashed potatoes. It is giving date night at home energy.
I make this when I want something that feels really special but I do not want to stand over the stove all night. The key is getting the pan HOT before the steak goes in. That is the whole secret to a good sear. Do not skip that step.
The Secret to Perfect Steak Bites
Pat your steak cubes completely dry before they go in the pan. Any moisture on the surface will steam the meat instead of searing it and you will miss out on that gorgeous brown crust. Hot pan, dry meat, do not crowd it. Work in two batches if you need to.
I also love this recipe because it includes affiliate links to a few things I actually use in my kitchen. A good cast iron skillet makes all the difference here. I use mine for everything. Heads up, some of these are affiliate links, which just means I get a tiny commission at no cost to you.
