Garlic Knots with Marinara
Homemade Garlic Knots with Marinara are one of those recipes that make people think you are a serious baker even though they are actually pretty simple to pull off. My kids go absolutely wild for these on pizza night here in Kansas City. The garlic butter gets into every fold of the knot and when you dip them in warm marinara it is truly hard to stop at just one.
Why You’ll Love This
- Better than any pizzeria garlic knots you’ve had
- Pizza dough makes them incredibly easy to put together
- The whole house smells amazing while they bake
- Kids and adults both absolutely love them
Ingredients
- 1 lb pizza dough (store-bought works great)
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup parmesan, grated
- 1 cup marinara sauce for dipping
- Salt to taste
How to Make It
- Preheat oven to 400F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Divide pizza dough into 12 equal pieces and roll each into a rope about 8 inches long.
- Tie each rope into a loose knot and place on the baking sheet.
- Mix melted butter with garlic and brush generously over each knot.
- Bake 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
- While still hot, toss with parsley and parmesan. Serve with warm marinara.
A good rimmed baking sheet is what I use for all my baking, and a silicone pastry brush makes getting that garlic butter into every crevice so much easier.
