How to Make It
Before I turn on the stove, I get everything prepped and ready. Chop your vegetables, measure out your spices, and have everything within reach. It makes the whole cooking process so much smoother, especially when little ones are around.
Then follow the full recipe card below for step-by-step instructions, exact amounts, and timing. I have tested this enough times to get it just right, and the recipe card has a print button if you like to keep a hard copy on the counter like I do.
A quick note: taste as you go, do not rush the process, and trust that it is all going to come together beautifully. Cooking at home is such a gift.

Peach BBQ Grilled Chicken
Ingredients
Method
- Whisk the peach preserves, barbecue sauce, vinegar and brown sugar together in a small bowl. Spoon about a third of it into a separate dish to serve at the table.
- Pat the chicken dry and season both sides with the smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
- Heat the grill to medium high, around 400 degrees, and oil the grates well.
- Grill the chicken for 5 to 6 minutes on the first side, until it releases easily and has clear marks.
- Flip, brush generously with the glaze, and grill another 5 to 7 minutes, brushing once more, until the thickest part reads 165 degrees.
- Rest the chicken 5 minutes before slicing, then pass the reserved glaze at the table.
