Overnight oats in a jar with peaches and cream

Peaches and Cream Overnight Oats

If you have not tried overnight oats yet, consider this your sign. I was honestly skeptical for a long time because I could not imagine cold oats being something I would actually enjoy. And then I tried peaches and cream overnight oats and now I make them almost every single week. They taste like dessert, they take about 10 minutes to prep the night before, and they are waiting for you in the fridge when you wake up.

I love making these in wide-mouth mason jars because they are perfect for layering and so easy to grab and go. A set of good wide-mouth mason jars is honestly a kitchen essential and these make them even more worth it. Peaches and Cream Overnight Oats

Dreamy, creamy overnight oats layered with sweet peaches and a vanilla cream that taste like dessert for breakfast but are actually good for you.
Prep Time 10 minutes
Total Time 8 hours
Servings: 2 servings
Course: Breakfast
Cuisine: American

Ingredients

  • 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup whole milk or oat milk
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 2 ripe peaches, pitted and sliced fresh or canned
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream for drizzling
  • pinch of cinnamon

Method

  1. In a bowl or large measuring cup, combine oats, milk, Greek yogurt, honey, vanilla, and chia seeds. Stir well.
  2. Divide the oat mixture evenly between two mason jars or containers.
  3. Top each jar with sliced peaches and a pinch of cinnamon.
  4. Cover and refrigerate overnight or at least 6 to 8 hours.
  5. In the morning, give the oats a stir, drizzle with heavy cream, and add fresh peach slices on top.

Notes

These keep beautifully in the fridge for up to 4 days, making them perfect for meal prep. Use frozen peaches in winter and just thaw them overnight. Wide-mouth mason jars make these easiest to layer and eat from.

What You’ll Need

Old-fashioned rolled oats are the move here, not instant oats. They hold up beautifully overnight and have the best texture in the morning. Greek yogurt adds creaminess and protein, chia seeds thicken everything up just perfectly, and fresh or canned peaches make the whole thing taste like summer. A little drizzle of cream on top in the morning is my personal finishing touch and I highly recommend not skipping it.

Tips for Making This

The ratio of liquid to oats matters. I do a one-to-one ratio of oats to milk plus yogurt and it comes out perfectly thick and creamy every time. If you like thinner oats just add a splash more milk in the morning. These also keep in the fridge for up to four days, making them the best meal prep breakfast you will ever try. Make a big batch on Sunday and have breakfast sorted through Thursday.
