Summer Nail Colors I Am Obsessed With Right Now

There is something about summer that makes me want to try every nail color I have been too cautious to attempt during the rest of the year. Bright corals, sheer pinks, tropical reds, even a good bold blue. Summer is the one season where almost any color feels appropriate and I am fully here for it.

Here are the nail colors I am reaching for right now and the polishes I love for wearing them.

Coral Red: OPI Cajun Shrimp

This shade is the definition of summer. A warm orangey red that looks incredible against sun-kissed skin and works on both short and long nails. OPI formulas last well, chip minimally, and the color payoff is great. Find OPI polishes at Ulta or on Amazon.

Sheer Milky Pink: Essie Ballet Slippers

Tropical Fuchsia: OPI I Think in Pink

Warm Terracotta: Essie Sunday Funday

This earthy warm orange-brown is having a moment and I understand why. It looks so good in summer photos and it is one of those unexpected shades that goes with everything. If you want to try something a little different this season this is my recommendation. Find it on Amazon.

My Nail Care Tips for Summer

I always use a base coat, wait fully between coats, and seal with a good top coat for longevity. Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Top Coat is my go-to for fast drying. Also keep cuticle oil nearby, the summer sun and chlorine are brutal on cuticles. Both are available on Amazon.
