Welcome to the New Sideofglam

A NEW CHAPTER

Welcome to the new Sideofglam.

If you have been around here for a while, first of all, thank you. You have read the recipes, the holiday tablescapes, the Kansas City weekend roundups, the pregnancy updates, and somehow you keep coming back. That means more to me than you know.

Today, Sideofglam looks different. The old site lived on Wix for years, and it carried me through a lot of life. Honestly, it served its purpose beautifully. But the blog has grown, and I needed a home that could grow with it. So I packed everything up, fixed a few squeaky floorboards, repainted, and moved into a new space built on WordPress. Same heart, better light.

What is new

The redesign reflects the kind of blog I always wanted Sideofglam to be. Warm ivory pages, soft rose gold accents, room for the writing and the photography to actually breathe. I worked through a full brand refresh this spring, and what you are seeing now is the final result.

I also reorganized the entire archive into categories that finally make sense for the way I write: Kansas City, Motherhood, Recipes, Lifestyle, Fashion, KC Sports, Seasonal, and a tucked-away corner for Pregnancy as I count down the weeks. Whatever you came here looking for, it should be easier to find now.

A few honest notes

I migrated the posts that still felt like Sideofglam. A handful of older posts (pandemic loungewear, expired 2020 sales, dated trend pieces) got archived rather than carried over, because pretending those links still work was not doing anyone any favors. If you came here from Pinterest looking for one of those, you will be redirected to the closest category page so you can still find what you need.

Affiliate links across the older posts are being refreshed too. If you spot something broken in the next couple of weeks, hang tight, I am working through them.

What is next

This summer the calendar is full in the best way. Baby Schmidt is on the way, the KC Royals are giving me reasons to write again, and the garden is finally rewarding me for being patient. Expect more weekend posts, more honest motherhood content, and a few brand collaborations I am genuinely excited about. If you are a brand who would love to work together, my Work With Me page is where to start.

Thank you for being here. Thank you for following the move. Pull up a chair, the kitchen is open.

xoxo,

Sideofglam
