Easy Game-Day Drinks for Your World Cup Watch Party
The fastest way to feel like a relaxed host instead of a frazzled one is to nail the drinks before anyone arrives. My number one rule for a World Cup watch party is simple, make one big batch drink so you are not stuck pouring cocktails one at a time while you miss the game.
Here is my whole easy approach to game day drinks, including a citrus punch that works as a mocktail or a grown up version.

Batch it, do not bartend it
The single best decision you can make is to mix a big batch drink ahead of time. A drink dispenser or a couple of large pitchers means people serve themselves and you get to actually sit down. A simple drink dispenser with a spigot instantly upgrades the whole setup.
My go to citrus punch
This bright, fizzy citrus punch is my forever crowd pleaser. It tastes like sunshine, it scales up easily, and you can make it boozy or keep it family friendly with one small swap. Full recipe is right here.

Big-Batch Citrus Soccer Punch
Ingredients
Method
- In a large pitcher or drink dispenser, stir together the orange juice, pineapple juice, lemonade, and lime juice.
- If you are making the adult version, stir in the rum or vodka now.
- Just before serving, top with the lemon-lime soda and add plenty of ice so it stays fizzy.
- Float orange and lime slices on top and serve.
Notes
Always make a mocktail option
Not everyone is drinking, and a great party makes that completely easy. The punch above is delicious without the alcohol, but you can also set out sparkling water with citrus and berries, or a pitcher of iced tea. Treat the non drinkers like guests of honor and everyone feels welcome.

Do not forget plain cold water
It is hot, the match is long, and people forget to hydrate. Keep a big pitcher or dispenser of ice water front and center so it is the easy grab. Future everyone will thank you.
Keep it cold with minimal effort
Buy more ice than you think you need, and keep a cooler or a filled sink stocked with cans and bottles so the fridge does not become a bottleneck. Freeze fruit to use in place of ice cubes and your punch looks pretty without getting watered down.
The takeaway
Easy game day drinks come down to one big batch drink, a no fuss mocktail, plenty of cold water, and lots of ice. Set it all up self serve and you turn into the host who is somehow always relaxed, drink in hand, screaming at the TV with everyone else.
Cheers to a very fun summer. xo, Pam
